That’s why I’m running for the position of Second Vice President within the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). With over two decades of experience in Emergency Management, I’m ready to bring my knowledge, dedication, and leadership to this important role.
Professional Background
I currently serve as the Chief of Emergency Services for Sacramento County, a vibrant community of 1.6 million residents. My extensive background has equipped me with the skills and insight needed to effectively navigate the complexities of emergency situations and lead with confidence.
Commitment to the Profession
I’m deeply committed to advancing our field and proud to have earned the designation of Certified Emergency Manager (CEM). This certification reflects my dedication to maintaining high professional standards and my passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Throughout my career, I’ve actively contributed to the IAEM community. I’ve had the honor of serving as Chair of Government Affairs and Chair of the Emerging Technology Caucus. These roles have allowed me to advocate for effective policies and champion innovation in Emergency Management.
